Our network file server uses a Linux computer with Windows and RiscOS machines connected to it.

Linux is rapidly gaining in popularity and is there any wonder why - It is FREE, it has a choice of desktop layouts which can be as different or similar to Windows as you like. There are Word Processors that will open MicroSoft Office files such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and save them as these filetypes. There are graphics programs that will open all the popular images including some of the program specific ones like Corel and Photoshop, all the popular printers and scanners work AND it can be loaded on the same Hard Drive as Windows and share the same disk.
