Directions to the Welwyn Hatfield Computer Club. Although probably NOT the quickest but I think the easiest to explain is to visit via the main A414. The A414 can be picked up from junction 4 of the A1(M) or from the Hertford area. From the Hertford direction follow the A414 West towards Hatfield and St Albans but well before Hatfield you reach a large roundabout signposted the B195 right to Welwyn Garden City. Then follow the paragraph marked (A) below. If you are heading from St Albans or Hemel take the A414 Eastbound towards Hertford - it is well signposted but at Hatfield it will join the A1(M) for about 2 miles and go under the Galleria Shopping Centre, if you then exit at junction 4 you can then rejoin the A414 - someway past Hatfield you will reach a large roundabout with the B195 signposted left to Welwyn Garden City. Then follow the paragraph marked (A) below. If travelling from the St Albans direction and you need to avoid the A1(M) then at the large roundabout where it joins the A1(M) take the exit BEFORE the A1(M) and keep driving straight keeping the A1(M) on your right - eventually the A414 is signposted then follow signs to Hertford until someway past Hatfield you will reach a large roundabout with the B195 signposted left to Welwyn Garden City. Then follow the paragraph marked (A) below. If heading North from London take A1(M) - NOT the M1 - and come off on junction 4 after you go under the Galleria Tunnel, pick up the A414 Eastbound signposted to Herftford and about 5 miles on you will come to a large roundabout signposted B195 left to Welwyn Garden City. At this point follow the paragraph marked (A) below. If heading from the North then probably the easiest way is travel South on the A1(M) and get off North of Hatfield (junction 4) at the exit signed for the A414 Hertford - follow this for about 5 miles until you reach a large roundabout with the B195 signposted left to Welwyn Garden City. Then follow the paragraph marked (A) below. If travelling by helicopter it is BELOW you. --------------------------------------- (A). Follow the B195 and take the first turning on your left signposted QE2 Hospital and is right by a Welwyn Garden City sign, this will be Cole Green Lane. At the first roundabout turn left, this is again signposted to QE2 Hospital and the road name is Howlands. As you go past the QE2 Hospital on your left you will approach a small mini roundabout, bear slightly right and continue along Howlands. You will then see a large pub on your right called The Hollybush, turn right into Hollybush Lane and about 200 yards on your right will be the entrance to the Hyde Association - there are two Poplar Trees by the entrance - they are the very tall thin trees.
